Wasn’t the best Disney movie we have seen. https://www.rappler.com/entertainment/music/disney-releases-first-filipino-track-kz-tandingan-gabay https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainm...disneys-raya-teaser-has-filipino-fans-gushing Arnis. Anyone heard of it? Mrs Ash has of course.
I used to do lau gar kung-fu, studied it in Hong Kong, it was a load of pretentious crap really as a decent boxer gets in close or someone head butts you and gets you on the ground all the crouching-tiger hidden-dragon wax-on wax-off stuff amounts to naught, HOWEVER Arnis or as we called it escrima (also known as kali) is useful, it's more "Street" I am actually in a martial arts movie, I thought I was all Bruce Lee, but on-screen my part was cut to 2 seconds
LOL. I know what you are saying, but it would have to be a good boxer surely? And not just someone swinging a punch in the street? My daughter is pretty close to her black belt. She takes her black tag in Taekwando this month. However, apart from being a child and a light weight I would imagine she wouldn’t be able to defend herself too readily against an adult. Having said that she is becoming very fit, agile and efficient and is being taught where to strike. She is being constantly told not to use what she learns outside of the dojo except in self defence. She has the option to take further lessons in self defence. Her instructor knows all the tricks. I am happier that she does it as opposed to not at all.
Stuff like that. Yes. I was quite surprised the other day as she got me to grab her wrists. I was amazed when she wriggled out of the grip pretty swiftly.
That movie is 20 quid on Disney+ Nice that the song is a first for Filipino's on Disney. I just checked, that's the first time I've seen this additional payment to effectively rent a movie on Disney+. When they added Star I decided to keep the subscription going for another year at 60 quid it is ok and some of the new Marvel spin offs are things I do want to see, WandaVision was really good I really enjoyed it as did my son although he had to use a pirate source as my Disney+ account can't be shared in the Philippines yet.
That’s right. We were already subscriber’s to Disney +. I cannot remember how we first watched Mulan but it was the same price. Which I suppose is fair enough on the grounds of it costing as much to go to the cinema for a family of 3 and it was only released yesterday. However, Raya isn’t such a great movie in my opinion. I believe the movie will become more widely available and at a lower price in June. We haven’t seen much in the way of new movies in the last year. So far it has been Mulan, Secret Garden, Raya and the Last Dragon and another Disney about a squirrel.
There is some irony to the release of this movie for Filipinos as outlined in the link below. “Filipino Reddit users quipped that they will have to resort to pirating the movie again. “I will just wait for it to be posted on torrent sites in a few hours from now,” a Reddit user said.” https://interaksyon.philstar.com/ho...-raya-and-the-last-dragon-in-the-philippines/
