Great work being done by a young man who has a high profile status but has not forgotten his roots. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...says-jurgen-klopp-liverpool-manchester-united
Whilst I commend the idea and national response consemning the Various MP's that voted against, I still fail to find anywhere that says Mr Rashford is actually parting with some, or any at all, of his weekly 200k
Great player and a terrific goal the other night prompting comparison with Mbappe. And what a fantastic campaign he has been wielding on FSM for deprived kids. Many food banks and food charities comment on the lack of quality of the food they pass on to families and I personally hope that FSM are passed on paying as much attention to quality as quantity. I am sure Marcus Rashford is up on all that as club nutritionists will be on the ball with that. But outside of Marcus Rashford himself and the club, those involved in providing such meals aren’t necessarily quite so on the ball.
I can understand why you see that, Dom, but there are hundreds of these multi-millionaire footballers who don't do anything the way Rashford has.
I would have more respect for him if instead of talking "a" talk, he would wear a "pinny" and spend a day per week, behind a school canteen counter, either dishing food out or help cook some, like lesser financially endowed people "volunteer" to do.
While I admire Mr Rashford for highlighting and taking action over this issue, I can't help thinking there is a serious problem afoot. Fundamentally, why is it the state's responsibility to feed kids during school holidays?
I agree I was brought up in an environment of feed the family first cloth them next and nice things can wait The harsh answer is that the parents want to spend their money on the latest gadgets, widescreen TVs etc, in reality we have many children living in poverty through no fault of their own, you have one parent families, families that the main breadwinner has lost his job or been furloughed and seen a lot less money coming into the household.
I was not aware of him as you know I have no interest in football but since you explained who he was I've noticed a few articles and yes this is someone with his heart in the right place.
I still think that he should have put some of his money where his mouth is, before throwing his wealth and buying power on our faces............ What a result indeed. Typical woke behaviour. Expecting all and sundry to bend to their pontificating wishes whilst doing sod all themselves but just giving their precious time.......
Nonsense, and from the Daily Fail more biased headline grabbing poor biased reporting read up on Fareshare Football players have a short career in relevant terms, I am sure Rashford is being advised to correctly build for his future, many footballers in the past have been ill advised or received no financial advice and ended up broke. He is a young man from a difficult background trying to improve things for others, he could I guess of sat back when he was growing up, sulked and been resentful thinking life had dealt him a bum deal turned to crime and become a drain on our welfare system, But now he is trying to help! The Daily Fail along with many other cheap point scoring media types love to try and dampen and look for ways to knock people who do good, "Build them up and Knock them down" it sells newsprint.
