Hey guys, so my visa application was successful, I'll be going to pick it up next week, however I've got a question regarding leaving the Philippines. Simply put, once I have my visa and acr card, if I were to leave Philippines, for a holiday or to visit family in the UK, how long could I be gone for?
OK Gary..Pretty certain that you will have to visit immigration and tell them about your plans to travel..Let us know what they tell you. Had you been a permanent card holder,I would not seen an issue for you to report to them about an extended travel time.. I have known guys with permanent visas that have left well in excess of one year.. We have to report to immigration in the first 3 months of each year as permanent residents...If we report late,we will pay a fine for each month we are late..etc.. Hope you get my point.
you need to go to Immigration and apply for an ECC at least 72 hours before departure. Emigration Clearance Certificate (ECC)
