question about submitting FLR

We have filled in the flr application and have all our paperworks ready apart from bank statements ( i will get printed and stamped within the 28 day rule ).

We are going the priority route and will get the documents scanned at the appointment along with the biometrics.
The earliest we can apply is the 8th july as my wifes visa runs out the 4th august.

What I would like to know is can we submit the flr application online now and pay all the fees now considering it is only 28th june so we can choose a date for a priority appointment as soon as possible after the 8th july.

The reason for this is as i explained in an earlier post is my wife is a teacher and her employers have said they will renew her contract if she is successful with her visa so if we can get an appointment before the schools break up for summer holidays and she is successful then she will be paid over the summer holidays so this is why we are going the priority route.

No need to get statements stamped anymore pdf copies off internet banking will do.
Your question about priority service is I would of thought it would be ok to go as you are suggesting

Thanks i did not know about the bank statements can be in pdf without being stamped.
So I presume you can submit the online flr and pay for everything now as long as all the paperwork is in order when you get to the appointment.
I thought everything was within the 28 days rule not just bank statements before the visa runs out so now i guess I can pay now rather than wait till the 8th july.

Went down to the ukvcas office in the library in liverpool yesterday, the website says they do biometrics and digitization when i talked to the lady there seems she did not really know a lot, when i asked her about biometrics she said they just scan the one my wife has, i wonder what is the point in that when she is going to submit it in the application, when i asked about the documents all she said was they check everything is in order and scan them, did not say they digitize them and did not know if they are uploaded to a website that can be seen when at the visa appointment. Then she admitted they were just a 3rd party. All i can say is i walked out twice as confused what they were actually there for and none the wiser about the questions i asked. SO I will just wait till we get our appointment and go through the whole process there.

Sorry 're read your original post I would go ahead and apply and try yo book an appointment after the 8th which is after the 28 days prior to your wife's visa expiring.
The system may reject it because of the date( to early) be interesting to know what happens.

Well mattecube from my experience in the library i would just make the appointment if your going priority and let them do everything there, more expense but at least you will know it is getting done exactly like they want it to be done. I will try to book my appointment next tuesday when im off work and see if it goes through earlier than expected, the way i look at it is why cant you pay for everything before the 8th july as long as my bank statements are in the 28 day period ie 8th july to 4th august as they will not see any documentation till you arive at your appointment.

If the system rejects the application before the due date surely even if i have paid at the end it would say apply again later.

    Hi guys,

I’m surprised to read that I can print my own bank statements for my wife’s FLR (M) and that they don’t need to be verified by the bank.
    What’s the thinking behind this?

Thanks to all who contribute here and help us!

In our case each time we have submitted bank statements (2015 onwards) we have submitted internet printed statements you can not tell the difference!
Thinking behind it is probably let's get into the 21st century

    Lol, getting with it!

I assume you didn’t get the statements you printed yourself stamped or signed by the bank?
