Wow... how ff'ing depressing... seems like it's just got too expensive for ordinary people... supermarket price of beer probably the same as here ? Had some beautiful fish today - probably cost me about £50/kg in the UK or 10 times what it does here !
Yeah brought the missus brought some fish from Birmingham wholesale market last weekend £15 per KG and that was the cheapest, as for Boozers the price of Supermarket beer is killing off the local pubs, plus it's a different way of life nowadays with playstations and suchlike being the preferred way of spending time.
UK pubs and bars will close at 8pm due to 'challenging' new rules (msn.com I was thinking about Playstations and the like yesterday and realised that, more than anything, the internet has made people lazy. We have all been looking at screens since the internet entered our lives. We can do many things online but our leg muscles are weaker!
Family values have taken over amongst other things, shift work, 4 on 4 off shifts 5 days in 7 working, violence in pubs and clubs, drugs cost of living, covid non recovery of footfall
very few local pubs left here--but the one i use now and then at the end of my road--short level walk--has live music most weekends. My kind of stuff--geriatric rock.
