    Hello @bhea0722 ,

    Based on VFS website:
    https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/philippines/frequently_asked_questions.html

    Priority Visa Service (PSV)

Please note: UK Visas and Immigration strongly recommends that applicants with any form of adverse immigration history do not use this service. This includes anyone who has previously refused a visa for the UK, been refused leave to enter the UK, been previously deported, removed, or otherwise required to leave the UK, has overstayed a period of leave in the UK, or has been refused leave to remain in the UK by the Home Office.

Considering your intended date of travel, the standard processing time for the visa you're applying for would take longer. Thus, you would want to use the priority service to reduce the waiting time. Since you've mentioned that you have been refused a visa before, it would be risky to use the said service, in my opinion.

Maybe someone in this forum who had applied for a visit visa will give you some advice.

do u think if i will mention in my cover letter that i had been refused before but because we are already lack of time that is why we decided to use the priority visa service?
and in other country that i read about the psv it says there that visa that had been refused before will make longer time to make the decision instead of 3-5 working days...

In my opinion, even if you mention the prior visa refusal or not, they still have it in their records. So, I think it's okay to mention it as your new application will be based on the documents you are submitting. On your next application, it would be best to provide strong evidence like how your trip would be funded, proof of your strong ties in the Philippines like having a job, owning a property, savings etc. Requirements for visit visa is different from other types of visas as the former will be based on the applicants supporting documents and not of the sponsor.

You can check some of the threads in this forum about visit visas. :).

Let's say your application is straightforward, you have a chance of getting an approval. With regards to the processing times, I am not really sure how long it will take. Also, I am not sure if you can really use the priority visa but I'm not saying you can't really do it. It's still your call.

Maybe others can give their opinion as well.

Upon checking, that what others did. They use the standard service and pay for priority service at vfs by cash.

I hope @joi1991 can give her opinion about your concern if it's okay to use the priority service considering you have been refused before. In my opinion it would be easy to just use the standard service since you said you can move the date till January.

Whether it's okay to avail the priority service, I am not really in the right position to say you can do it or not.
