Sorry, but I was just referring to your words.
    You said it. Not me.

I just seen lots of people spending like £300 in one evening in the pub and complain after that it is impossible that foreigner doing the same job have more money and better car than them have. He must be a drug dealer for sure.

I seen lots of people as well saying that for them it is degrading and humiliate to go to asda or Iceland or any other and buy cheap products.
They are always buying stuff only in at least Marks & Spencer or John Lewis because asda is for peasants.

So when I see a person who is saying that knightstrike is lying because it is impossible to live in London for amount of money he state I just know that kind of behaviour. I seen it plenty of times in the last 10 years when I lived in the UK. ;)

You are mistaken, I would never accuse anybody of lying, and I certainly did not do so in this case.

"Degrading and humiliating to go to Asda or Iceland", "Asda is for peasants"........even more total tosh. Sir, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. For that reason, this will be my last post on this subject. Goodnight.

To be fair @Tygrrysek didnt say it was "Degrading and humiliating to go to Asda or Iceland", "Asda is for peasants"
This is what he said "I seen lots of people as well saying that for them it is degrading and humiliate to go to asda or Iceland or any other and buy cheap products.
They are always buying stuff only in at least Marks & Spencer or John Lewis because asda is for peasants.

Far out. Easy there people. You guys are already going off-topic.

If you're on a holiday and truly want to enjoy yourself, then at least bring 600 pounds per week.

I'm saving for a house. So apologies for my rock bottom, bargain basement living.

Wow..I never expected for my post to go this far..thanks guys.. but what I am actually asking is the pocket money during the tavel until I reach London airport.. Aside from the travel tax that I will be paying at NAIA, all I will have to spend for next will be our 10-hour stop over in Bahrain..for foods probably..so do u think $200 dollars will be enough? so I know how much dollars.I should buy before our flight on tuesday..

Well I always take a packed lunch and manage on less than 5 pounds. :)

Yes, 200 bucks should be more than enough.

In between the misunderstandings there is some good, thoughtful, advice on this page.

US$200 may be too much - you would have to do some serious duty free shopping in Bahrain to spend that much. Beware of the violently fluctuating exchange rate at the moment. Once you get here, you will find that clothes are vastly more expensive than in the Philippines, whilst shoes are about the same, and if you are visiting outside the summer months you will find that jackets, scarves, boots, gloves and hats are essential. (Mags did actually manage to arrive in a decent pair of boots and a down jacket that she bought in SM, though.

Bahrain duty free shop was the scene of my one and only conversation with HRH The Princess Royal... it was very brief!

    HRH: "Where's the bog?"

    Me: "Over there, Ma'am!"
