Greetings everyone. Hope all is well. I am a Filipina with a British (obviously, hence I am here ) national boyfriend. Like most beginners, I have heaps of concerns thus prompting me (us) to join this group which I came across with whilst looking/researching for answers regarding my concerns. We met in one of the Islands in the Caribbean in an ice cream shop. Blamed the dark chocolate ice cream for this serendipitous encounter. We've been together as a couple for almost 14 months now. He is a shipwright (and he can also build nice yurts ) and I was a nanny. Unfortunately, I left the Caribbean and is now back here in the Philippines, and he is still there. He wants to follow though and get married eventually. With this, expect me browsing and reading through the threads and might once in a while throw some questions when confusion strikes me (us). Thank you so much for this group. Very helpful staff and members and much more VERY INFORMATIVE inputs. Some information from government sites are bit confusing and browsing through here just clears things. Goodluck to all.
I met my fiancee, now here in the UK with me, in the Cayman Islands. Welcome. The advice here is very good and is refreshed regularly by people's experiences. Some old farts but they also tend to have the most knowledge.
Thank you for the welcome. @Drunken Max, I met mine in Antigua and Barbuda. And yes, you are very correct. We learn from other people's experience. I had no idea how to start this immigration process before. Reading through serves as a guide. Thanks to these old farts, no offense.
