    It went a tiny little bit over 68 yesterday for a very short period of time, I watch that XE page several times a day :)

    IT was 98 = £ when Tex and I met in S'Pore and I decided to retire to PI...... :(

    Q : "The money in your pocket" ?
    is not as valuable to me as :angel: = Tex says...

    It was 106 to the pound when I met Ana :)

    And at that time I was pulling in about twice the money I do now :(

    I too thought at that time that a long term retirement to the Phils plan was a good idea, not so sure now.

    We have made the decision to "up-sticks" here, UK, and settle into the home we built in PI 2007.

    Looked, and visited to look deeper, into Spain, Portugal and Ireland West but decided that PI is best.
    The climate, "smiles per mile" and one of us will not be an Immigrant. :like:

    Oh I do agree with you, but for me I will be in the position of having to make a living for quite a long time yet and I can't really earn money over there in my industry. :(

    Yeah, I've also noticed the rise in the rates. And also hope it goes up more - a lot more!
