    Hello steff. Welcome to BF.

I am a lil bit confused here. Where exactly do you plan to marry? If I got you correctly, you are planning to leave the UK once you have been granted FLR? Can you please elaborate? Thanks.

I think it will cause a problem.

There was a case recently where a woma with Indefinite Laeve to Remain was refused entry as she'd been out the country for 6 months.

When you go to the Philippines, do you plan to take your husband with you?

Iv just got married in the Philippines and now we have applied for spouse visa. I think it would be easier for you to get married in the Philippines because you then only have to apply for one visa once married which is the spouse visa saving you time and money. Plus it's a lot cheaper to get married in the Philippines. This is my personal opinion.

If you enter the UK on a Fiancée visa for example that would give you six month visa (multiple entry) in which to get married, then you would have to apply for the FLR(M) which would grant you leave in the UK for a further 2.5 years during which time you would only be allowed 90 days out of the country after which your relationship could be deemed as none subsisting. You can however leave the country for longer periods to tend to a close sick relative for example, then you would have to provide evidence to the UKVI under those kind of circumstances. Check on the government website for details. If for example you were traveling together outside the UK or on a business trip that could be verified then I do not think there would be a problem.

Its all about proving that your relationship is subsisting, that's why the UKVI ask you to list time spent out of the country on their FLR forms.

As a rule I do not think there is a number of days out of the UK rule that is set in stone, its down to circumstance and your ability to prove to the UKVI that you have been away from the UK and your spouse for legitimate reasons.
