On April 5 I received 5 cards from Philpost telling me that there were letters or packages to collect from the QC office. Those cards were date stamped ranging from March 5 to March 30th. Yes ALL DELIVERED TOGETHER UP TO 1 MONTH TOO LATE!! As I have not been expecting anything that can't be delivered by normal walking delivery I had no cause to check for anything. In any case normal delivery is atrocious - most small letters take 3 weeks to come the few kilometres from the sorting office to our door. But this bunch of cards giving notice that there are things to collect is just totally.......well it's beyond ridiculous. For all I know there are time sensitive items within these items. At this time of year they could be tax or pension related. But as I see it there is no way to complain, nobody responds to phone calls, emails or fb posts. Whatever happened to the Citizens Charter???? I shall be there today to collect and only hope their inefficiency means they have not returned items that they have had for more than 30 days. Royal Mail back home is brilliant compared to Philpost!

I don't think the Phils has quite grasped the concept of mail delivery yet... and I can remember, pre-internet, when it was the ONLY option here.

An update now I have collected them. Only 2 items involved. Both A4 size magazines from the UK that I subscribe to. They are published quarterly and normally delivered by hand. They could actually fit into the mail box but the delivery guy usually throws them over the gate, which has been happening for more than 2 years. Why the practice has changed is unknown to me, but if they wanted to actually give to someone in person and tried when nobody was home, why the hell they didn't leave a card at the time instead of saving 5 cards (2 for one magazine, 3 for the other) to deliver on another day and in another timescale (when by the way, we were all in the house) beats me.
