This appointment location does not have the facility to accept payments in person. Therefore you MUST make your payment online if you choose this location. If you do not want to or are unable to pay online, you must select an alternative location.

This is what it says on the visa4uk website but looking at the vfs website it says you can pay online or at vfs when you attend the appointment which one is best personally i would rather pay when im there as we are going the priority visa service any advice would be welcome.

I strongly suggest that you pay online, in advance. There is no benefit in paying on the day.

When we paid in advance for the priority visa service I seem to remember receiving some email with barcode on it that admitted them to the priority lounge.

Maybe im confused i just paid the ihs and visa application online ,i booked the appointment at vfs the visa4uk directed me too and it only states standard booking so i guess i pay the priority service when i get there as a standard booking is already included in the cost of the visa application,am i right in saying this.

My memory is from more than a year ago, but I recall that you make a separate online booking and payment for the premium service.

When I booked there was the facility on the VFS website to book it there.
However this page on the VFS website says:

"From 1 April 2014, VFS Global no longer provides manual appointment scheduling services for VIP Premium Lounge applicants.

You may book a VIP Premium Lounge appointment at
www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk. From this website you will be able to complete your online visa application form, pay the relevant visa application fee and book a VIP Premium Lounge appointment to submit your application at the UK Visa Application Centre. "

I just been on the visa4uk website and booked the standard appointment for the wife as it has no option for priority service i guess you ask and pay this when you arrive there, can anyone say if i went back to the application and selected to pay the vip lounge for the wife would we still keep the appointment we chose as you can only click one option at a time in the menu that drops down any help would be great.

My wife booked VIP for appointment, she paided when at vfs and more recent dates show up as when tried standard appointment it was few weeks away, the VIP appointment was about 2500 and includes no queuing and get refreshments and then paided priority on her appointment date at vfs,you tell them you want priority and they then put it in a priority bag when sending to embassy, she did this in July this year.
