My girlfriend told me about a job she was offered in Australia for a babysitter job, where she was told that she would be earning the same amount as she currently earns in the Philippines.

Mind you, the 'employers' were Filipinos. Reminded her the minimum wage in Australia is $23.23 per hour.

Better off in Germany, Wife's younger brother has qualified a German language course and is a qualified nurse, gets treated like any other person and gets paid accordingly.

You're better off in most other places :

British workers missing out on £10,700 a year as living standards fall

It said a living standards gap worth £8,300 had opened up between typical households in Britain and their average peers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany and the Netherlands, and blamed a “toxic combination” of low growth and high inequality.

I thought given your 2 posts, above about British workers missing out on £10700 and the Obesity post neither of which refers or has any relevance to your thread title, you wanted to move the thread on or maybe which is more likely you are trying but have scored a spectacular own goal trying to score cheap points in your above reply
    Your welcome
