Hi folks, I'm in the fortunate position of being in full-time employment for an incredibly flexible employer. To that end, I have decided to draft the employer's letter myself and ask them to stick it on headed paper and sign it.

Can you confirm that this will meet the requirements:

Ref: Visa Application for Lenny Kaye

    Dear sirs,

Please accept this letter as confirmation of the following information for ****** employee, Mark Kaye:

    - Mark’s employment with ****** began on the 6th May, 2013. He is employed in the role of Senior Consultant
    - Mark’s gross annual salary is £xx,xxx with a maximum discretionary bonus of £xx,xxx per annum, before tax. He has received this salary level since the start of his employment with ******
    - Mark is employed on a full-time permanent basis

    Best regards,

    xxx xxx

That is exactly what I did. My boss / employer is soooo busy that it was the only way. It works well. It doesnt mean I can slip just anything past him for him to sign, it just means it will actually get done and saves him the ballache of doing it himself.

Essentially the content of your letter is the same as mine. :like:

His surname is part of the company name but he usually sticks MD or Director next to his signature.

I suggest that you remove the "Team Kaye" graphic from the bottom of the letter.

Otherwise they might think you printed it yourself.

Ohh bloomin' heck. I just registered on visa4uk so I can start the application but the confirmation has gone to Lenny's email account (since it's her application after all) :) I set her email up, but implored her to change the password (cos princess isn't really a secure password - haha)... Now I can't go any further until she wakes up. D'Oh!

    Mark,

I would suggest editing out the name of your company from this thread in post 1 before it gets duplicated in responses.

I've removed the company name, because like Apo says - it could be traceable..

Other than that, the letter is fine. Very similar to the one I got my employer to produce.

Good idea, I mentioned to my boss I may need him to do this for me in a few months, he didn't look impressed. Thankfully I have a few bosses who can do this for me.

If you dont mind I may just nick your letter and add my own details
