Good morning... my wife just completed and printed the application form for spouse visa on the new site. It has my wife's details on the 1st page. All are correct apart from the Phone Numbers they got the wrong way around.... I checked and double checked... its my phone numbers that are under visa applicant contact details. I am wondering if its the fault of the website or i got them wrong... I cant get back into see but when i start another application it already has the correct contact number for my wife.... very strange I hope its not a problem... Thanks Guys,, Kev
Kev, have you tried VFS? When we applied we used them quite a lot. I normally got a reply to my email within 24 hours.
hi john ash , as regards to spouse visa application my wife lejani completed her online application at submited our documents via vfs cebu on the 28th of november 2013 , two weeks later she recieved her visa , but we think there is a problem because it only seems to be valid from february 16th untill august 16th , at my wife has now realized that she thinks she made a mistake when filling out online application , she put marriage instead of spouse , because she tells me that they could not see the spouse when filling out form , and now she is worried that this will cause a problem trying to correct this situation and get the correct spouse visa from the embassy , we still have a consultant to help us and my wife is returning to cebu in the new year and the consultants called olvis they told her she will call the embassy at then my wife can explain the situation , do ikaw think this will cause a problem . because this worrys me after so much work etc preparing documents , maybe you might know someone on this site that has experienced a similar problem thank you paulejani and also happy xmas and new year .
Hi Markham thanks for your reply , the wording one my wifes visa is place of issue Manila , number of entries mult , type visa marriage /cp P Haynes , name Haynes Lejani Gotera , passport nu , observ no work or recourse to public funds , valid from 16/02/14 to 16/08/14, i cannot understand how the visa consultants that we used and helped my wife fill out online application , how they advised her to put marriage , because she tells me they could not see spouse on the form , and then how the embassy after checking our documents marriage certificate etc wedding photographs , how can they send thisfiancee visa if that is what it is or maybe me and my wife have misunderstood and this is a valid spouse visa iyon should be valid for 30 months , my wife is worried and confused at so am i now thanks paulejani .
It doesnt sound like a Spouse Visa. They have made a mistake, I think. My first thought is to contact them and point out their error. They do make mistakes.
Hi john ash thank you for your reply , and yes we think there has been a mistake in our spouse visa application , and also when my wife lejani submited our documents at vfs and had her biometric , the staff there checkrd her application and they told her to cross out marriage and to put wife which she duly did and countersighned beside on to copys these where then dispatched to the embassy , so we think it is a mistake on behalf of the embassy and our main worry and concern now is that it can be corrected with no extra exspense , and trying now to find out if anybody else on britishfilipino website have had similar experience and had it corrected with no problems and extra exspense thankyou john ash at merry xmas there to you and your wife and baby daughter paulejani wickford essex .
I believe your wife has been issued with a Fiancee visa. Fiancee visa is categorised as 'Marriage' (being the reason for visa) Before you panic, I don't believe it's a huge problem to rectify but it needs careful explanation to UKBA Manila Hub (Embassy) The Fiancee Visa is designated settlement route and ALL the visa requirements are just the same as the Partner/Spouse) visa. Means it should be no problem for UKBA to do something. However, do be informed that technically your wife has made applicaton for the wrong visa. As such UKBA will need to be 'stroked' with care to get them to take the needed action. The visa costs are just the same.
Hi markham thank you very much for your reply and information , i forgot to mention i think that when my wife went to vfs to submit our documents and undertake her biometric , the vfs checked her application and told her to cross out marriage and to put wife and then countersign beside , which she duly did before our documents where dispatched to embassy so maybe it is a mistake on there behalf , and yes i understand that some gentle persuasion to the ukba will be required , and also we still have the backing and help of imigration consultants olvis who are situated in cebu city , so maybe this will go in our favour also , thank you very much for your reply and help markham and where are you and your wife based in uk a merry xmas to you there from paulejani .
so sorry micawber i was thinking that i reply to a markham all the very best to you and thanks for your help paulejani .
Don't get mixed up between Markham and me (Micawber) He's so much younger and more gwapo than me..........hehe Your wife's application would be submitted online with the 'codings' of Fiancee. I do doubt that any ammendments on the paper submissions would be noticed. These 'one-size-fits-all' online forms are really dreadful. Most of the drop-down menu selections are interdependent on previous selections so one error can cause mayhem down the line. Here are some contact details the Embassy. Responses are difficult to secure so I'd contact as many as possible and as often as daily.
