Like a dumbass, I managed to drop my old laptop, which I was clearing of my documents and files, for the use of my stepdaughter, arriving from Philly on the 1st of February. that old thing was alike my best friend, I took it with me all over while I was courting Jet, to keep in touch all the time, without interruptions caused by work related travel. In those days I used to have an AOL anywhere, anytime Dial-up account, for 10 quid a month, and it was worth every penny. So in the evening after work, and in the morning before goint to work, I used to spend an hour or two, chatting away happily ever after. My mike and webcam were hot, hot, hot..!!! Anyway, after unearthing it from its resting place, I decided to dust it, power it up, and started clearing any files with a bit of copy and paste to my house pc, all well and good, until I placed it onto the bedroom table, and while turning around in a hurry, i hit said table with my hip, and dropped the m*****r F*****r on the deck... Fearing the worst I powered it up again, and my fears were well founded... The keyboard ceased working.. That was last wednesday afternoon... As an afterthought, I reported it to my house insurance on friday morning, I have been contacted about 30 minutes ago on the monday, and I will be receiving a brand spanking new Fujitsu AH530 Lifebook.....:vhappy: To replace something which I bought over 6 years ago and wildly, by now, outdated... http://www.ebuyer.com/280743-fujits...mrsb2gb?utm_source=google&utm_medium=products Am I a happy bunny today...!!!!!!
Now I would have to copy and paste stuff from my Toshiba Satellite, so the lass can have it for her own use.... For a 2009 lappie, it is still top spec, really, despite having Vista and lack of integrated webcam...
