Hi Stumbled across this site whilst looking for information on the spousal visa. Already found some really useful information that will be of great help. Little bit about me, my name is Andy and I married my wife in Cebu earlier this year after knowing each other for 2 years or so. Best decision of my life to travel to the Philippines and meeting my wife, hard times (long distance) like any relationship but worth it. Hope I can bring a valuable contribution to the site through my experiences. Andy
to British Filipino Andy, looking forward to your posts. I know the Skype feeling very well, I had over seven years of that, but no more
At one stage or other, we all have experienced the pains, solitude, despair and helplessness of LDR, and for the vast majority of the members, on this site, it is now all history. One day soon enough, she will join you in the UK, and then after that, all what went on in the past, will be just a dream quickly consigned to the "file away/forget" part of the brain... All the best to you, and a warm welcome to our site. May you find the help you need.
Thanks guys - time will hopefully fly by until she arrives. I wont be missing the Skype calls, especially when all you see is a blur
Much like yourself, I used to find the bad internet connection of the Philippines extremely frustrating, get yourselves a Spouse visa and bring her home All the information you need for a successful Spouse visa is contained within this forum, any questions then just ask, someone here will be able to point you in the right direction I'm sure.
Welcome to our friendly forum Andy. Like Timmers, been in a long distance relationship for a while. Four years being separated with my "ex-boyfriend", he's now my husband
Hi I got married at the El Salavador Beach Resort in Danao City. It look a long time to make the decision to have it at Danao. We wanted a venue that wasn't that popular, just something different. I would recommend the resort, very well organised, good facilities and the food was great.
Thanks for the tip on the hotel. Passed through Danao many times en route for the North of the island and return. Never stopped there though. My wife and I married in Daanbantayan in 2008 and the cake came over with us to her tiny island.
Stopped off at Danao and jumped on a pump boat to Camotes. The wife has been to the resort some years ago.
Been to a fair few places in phils, and I would say this is one of the better places. Will get some pics up soon of my travels around phils.
