I'm just wondering if somebody used the priority service for the ilr. I was about to pay our family visa but they are not giving me any option apart from the standard one. Thank you in advance.

Seem to remember when @bigmac did wife's ILR the option availability was dependent on time of day. They had so many slots and once used for that day it wasn't available.

I can't answer your question, but we had a similar situation with my wife's 2nd FLR(M) application last week.
On the gov.uk website Visa fees (from inside UK) list here -

    https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...july-2021#optional-premium-services-in-the-uk

    - there is Super Priority (1 to 2 days) (£800) & Expedited processing-Priority service (7 to 8 days) (£500), but when getting to the payment stage of submitting the Visa the only options were Super Priority or Standard (no additional fee - up to 8 weeks)

Yes..we used super priority for wifes ILR..£800 extra rather than wait for up to 6 MONTHS for a decision. The £500 bargain isnt available for ilr apps. You need to log in before 9 am or around 1 pm to see if the super priority option comes up.

Thank you for the quick response. I tried to log in before 9 this morning and still no joy. Hopefully I will able to get 1 this afternoon. Its true its hard to wait 6 months for the decision . My kids also studying 1 in college and 1 in year 10 so I'm a bit worried about it. We saved for the super priority option so fingers crossed I'll get one this afternoon.

Sorry one more question. As I was checking all the answers for the dependants there's this last question that I'm not sure of. Is this question supposed to be for me or them??

I'm not familiar with the application process for dependents/children, but from your screenshot it suggests the question is for the parents/guardians of the dependent. I'm sure someone will confirm.

You and your families immigration status remains the same while waiting for a decision why waste money on priority service

I thought that WAS the question the OP was asking for advice on from the screenshot @bigmac Just goes to show how you can interpret the written word differently!

as i cant read the whole form--i cant really say for certain what that section is about. But if it is as simple as the question asks--then--yes.

i think if there are several family members involved--it would be very expensive. If Mai Ashby has no plans to travel out of the UK--or change jobs--in the next 6 months--then really no need .

Update. I didn't manage to book a priority service. I'm just very anxious that's why I wanted the fast result. I'm a bit shocked because even the appointment itself is really expensive. For the 3 of us it cost £336..

we paid £85 for my wifes appt. Different days and times = different prices. Utterly stupid.

Think supposed to be trying to control demand although more of money making racket as difficult to get places.

Was lucky with last set of appointment for wife and kids that managed to get free ones but that was for EU settlement scheme application. Still took a while to get appointments and ended up with two different dates
