Process has changed slighly since we apply in that documents have to be scanned instead of sent to sheffield. Process now as I understand it is. 1. Apply on line and pay fees on line 2. Print out form that she has to sign at vfs. 3. Attend appointment at vfs global that is booked as part of application process Adddress for vfs global is - Ecoplaza Building, Mezzanine Floor, Don Chino Roces Ave, Extension, Makati. There are various vfs global offices there and you need the UK one. From memory it was at the top of the escalator on the first floor. Normally only she is allowed in but there is a food place on ground floor to wait. 4. Think they will scan documents there for fee or scan and upload yourself. 5. She gets a receipt which she brings back to get passport when decision made
That is indeed correct although it is a extra cost charged by vfs global. Think courier is go express who managed to return all our documents but think I have seen complaints about them before. I dont have any complaints about them as delivered in timely and as we were outside manila was ablot more convient. If in manila would consider picking up in person but there is a specific window of time for collecting passports each day which I think is 1pm to 3pm but to long ago to be sure. Think receipt gives details. Think vfs global also charge to scan documents and also for use of storage locker - there are restrictions listed on what you can bring inside and thimk phones were on list. Seem to remember need some UK standard photos as well although there is a photo machine inside but did not use that as we came prepared. Process inside was take a ticket, see the clerk who takes form and checks you have provided and also passport and issues receipt and takes payment for any additional services. Take a seat then wait to be called for biometrics and then out of vfs global. There were three of us wife and two step children and guess took less than an hour. Not fast but not to long. If only wife then expect it will only be her allowed inside. Last time with two step children all of us were allowed inside as need someone to help with children. If waiting down stairs in cafe choice of food options and juice bar and think coffee options as well and can sit inside and eat. Juice bar was good although bit pricy.
