    Please do not get this wrong !

    I my years i observed a lot of mythical theories about pinays (as well as other nationalities)

    i don't want to get explicit ( loving, caring and bla bla) but i strongly remind of some facts ;

    Psychology is universe, as well as human basic characteristics and motivations. meaning, woman are also similar in nature. The difference is just the status in the "maslov pyramid".

    If one thinks he could get a perfect partner solely based upon the belief that marrying an Asian or now more popular eastern block woman, he will be in for a surprise on the long term.

    The motivation of the woman is clear. To get a better life, as did all woman throughout the ages when living in poverty (famous example: German woman after WW2, just to give an example)
    And still do, good example is the not so wealthy average Joe like us. i just say Bentley or Porsche verses Volkswagen.:D

    Now i certainly could go on, but i rather like the topic to evolve by itself.

    What do you think ?

    Motivation then is the same "to get a better life" it will just come with a new set of challenges that we will either engage with or wonder what happened when the honeymoon wears of

    Most certainly this is a very important point. Reality check !
    we all know, that being in fresh love is not a state of mind which resembles more the mindset of a mentally insane.(The brain chemistry is actually very confused in that period) It takes somewhat a few months until the more realistic love for another person comes into play and that is the crucial phase where we have to 'equalize" with our new partners.
    if one or the other is not capable to do that, the relationship is doomed to fail.

    I recall a woman in work making a sly comment about women from Asia marrying men over here for a better life, then at another time mentioning how sick she is that her "friend" bagged a rich husband and can now live in a nice big house, etc..

    :erm:

    I was most certainly not looking for any kind of relationship when I met my wife. I was very happy just roaming around the world in the first class cabin and nice hotels, I had neither the time nor the inclination for anything that involved relationship maintenance.
    I was introduced to my wife simply because my grasp of the Japanese language was just not good enough, and I was told she spoke excellent English, was Taiwanese, owned a restaurant and so had plenty of time on her hands. All untrue by the way, but that's how I met my Filipino wife. Strangely it was an almost love-at-first-sight encounter (all in the eyes).
    I soon realised my life would dramatically change. And so it did.:D

    Sorry but I was called away from my keyboard. The posting was going to continue with some myth's and realities, sincere apologies to the thread starter for that.
    I will return.
