My personal choice (along with others) would have been this one:- David Bowie - Life On Mars? I deliberately selected this more obscure version. Anyone with a better suggestion?
I caught a bit of that "Reach For The Stars" track yesterday wouldn't have been my choice. I think I might have gone for a classical instrumental "Mars the Bringer of War" from Gustav Holst "The Planets" probably would not have gone down well though I hope at least that there was an actual loudspeaker on the rover so they could try to propagate some sound waves across the landscape.
Sadly, Curiosity is not equipped with any speakers. But I agree would have been good. I guess speakers didn't make it on the priority list.
Yes. I saw that ( W.I.L.L.I.A.M ) yesterday. The people at NASA seemed to be enjoying it too. I like the Gustav Holtz piece called Mars, from the Planets suite. And David Bowies classic. I also like W.I.L.L.I.A.M s (Blacke Eyed Peas) Meet me Halfway musical video depicting a far away planet...
This piece of music is sublime. IMO, Brian Eno takes us to somewhere else...... Well worth getting some speakers for your pc, Peter. Logitech are pretty good and not too expensive.
Wow, thanks Mike. I enjoyed that audio-visual treat No PC speakers for me I'm afraid. Headphones are the order of the day
