    Hi Everyone,

I am Anabell, married to a british national for 10 years now. We've been living in Manila the whole time but recently we decided to move to Northern Ireland where my husband lived. I am in the process of preparing my paper works for the settlement visa and planning our moving out. I need your advise on the following:

    1. What is the cheapest way to transport some of our things from Manila to N. Ireland? I don't mind if it would take longer to get there.

    2. Do I really need to take English test? I have a post graduate degree and it was taught in English so I wonder if that would be enough.

Thanks for your advise and if anyone happen to live in N. Ireland, let me know. It would help to have some advise from time to time.

    Cheers,

    Anabell

    Hi and welcome.:welcome:

Unless you are using the EEA route, I am afraid that you will have to sit a completely useless test, just to satisfy the requirements.

On the other hand, you have to weigh wether it is financially worth to transport furniture and stuff, half way around the globe, when the same stuff can cost less than the total of the shipping charges .
Depending of course on how much you want to bring over.
But I reckon from Pinas, a bare minimum of at least £4000 for one of the smaller containers.

    Try to enquire with this...

There are more companies like that, it is just matter of choosing the one that is more suitable to your personal needs.
