I think the free UK education is a massive positive.
My kids will benefit from this and I am not in a position to pay for their education in the UK unfortunately.
My work is in the UK as is good schooling and free health care so it is the UK where we will raise our little ones!

I too would hate to live in London.
It will never happen, I would prefer to live anywhere else than a big city.

I too hate London; lived there for two years in my early 20's; never ever again.

I live in a small market town and I like it here.

I would not choose to live in Manila (I have done so, twice) either. I actually like Subic Bay - a big attraction for me is that I can go sailing, there are pretty good shops and I have friends there.

I don't think I would flourish in the boondocks, though.

It isnt just free, it is thorough for most aswell as free. And if one wants more then it can always be paid for.

    Yes John,
Maybe we will have to spend a lot of time helping our kids with their school work also as we will be getting older.
I am 57 with two kids of 3yo and 2yo.
