Ah typical, she is Tisay Fil-am, she is certainly pretty and that is an excellent photograph but for me nothing special the world is full of women that look like her, but then maybe I am wrong to judge Miss World by that criterion? However I would say that I am not sure what the contest is trying to promote these days, is it beauty is it personality, is it humanitarian concern, I just don't know?
The competition has changed quite dramatically from what it was when the BBC broadcast it each year from Earls Court. There was six mini-competitions one of which, Miss Top Model, Megan Young also won thereby securing her place in the final. The competitions were: Top Model, Beach Fashion, Sports and Fitness, Beauty with a Purpose, Talent Competition and the World Fashion Designer Award. Miss England, Kirsty Heslewood, came 7th and was beaten in the final by Miss Gibraltar who got the Peoples' Champion award and came 6th overall.
