Neither do I... I just came back from Prince... 5kg Rice + Pack of Eden Cheese + 4 Packs knorr soup + Raisin Loaf = P720! That's more than a tenner.

Jollibee portions getting smaller and smaller :( other restaurants almost doubling their prices.

Everything is more expensive... Particularly the electric where we live because we have no geo-thermal generator nearby.

I wonder what the tourist numbers are like compared to past years, John. What's your feeling on this?

My wife says predominantly US, Canadian and Germans... maybe better air fares and bigger pockets than the paupers in the UK !

I/we live in North Luzon, and yes, prices have gone up in the supermarkets a bit, but not excessively so. We also rarely eat out, preferring home-cooking. We are fortunate in being not too far from Baguio and the veggie growing areas in the mountains, so prices for Brit-type veggies, such as carrots, white onions, and spuds, are very good, along with the quality.
