Do you register it in Uk?
And it may sound stupid but when asked in forms etc in the uk do you tick married.
May seem strange questions but I’d like to know. Cheers

Yes, it is recognised in the UK.

You will have to book an appointment at the British Embassy in Manila anyway, if you're planning on marrying in the Phils (for them to issue you with the current equivalent of a no impediment to marry certificate). Costs about 60 pounds. You'll need that certificate to present to the local registrar or priest in the Philippines, as part of your marriage licence application.

Look on the British Embassy Manila website for further up to date info, plus online forms, should you require them.
