So I'm here in Philippines, been here 3 weeks already and getting married in just over 3 weeks. Although I feel like the government are trying to bend me over, can you please let me know if this sounds about correct, 2,500 php in total to get the marriage licence which we applied for around the 19th Jan but have been told it won't be ready until the 10th Feb. My fiance doesn't seem concerned, but I do not trust their government at all.
The fees should be written the citizen's charter (which states the various requirements, steps, fees and timelines for anything that you request from the government. If you have an official receipt also states you have paid php2,500 it means eveything is okay. Check the timeline though but less than 1 month for license isnt far fetched For big cities in ph, you can check the process online (i.e. http://ccro.davaocity.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads)
