Good morning ... Our mc has a mistake . His middle name there he is not always use it . That's from the church during confirmation . It is happen that in our mc they put his mother name rose Marie George Joseph and instead if George because this is last name of his mother when she is single. We found out was its to late because its already in the nso and I need to apply a spouse visa. I ask the barrister from uk about this problem he said there is no problem important is what is in his name in passport is same to the mc. But in his passport he didn't put his middle name .. But in his divorced paper there is middle name .... I am very worried because I am applying a visa. Is this affecting to my application here in the Philippines ? I told to my hubby to make a affidavit but he don't want to do it because he said its not important . Pls help me I am very worried .
Hello I inquired it already to the nso but I will take long . And I want my husband to be there by dec.. What is the other option? Thank you
Hi, the middle name changing is to be expected for the Philippine national once married. The important parts are the first and surname. The Visa application gives the opportunity to state any other names the person is known by. It seems that philippines ID, including Passport have a separate line stating the middle name. Where as UK ID just list first names and surname. The philippine marriage certificate will state the philippine nationals name known prior to marriage, which has the middle name being their mothers maiden name. Once married their middle name changes to their mothers married name. Any ID renewed using the marriage cert will cause this change, despite the cert not actually showing their name in this new format. My wife is currently having all her ID changed to married name, but it is not a quick process and is taking many months waiting. The longest ID change is currently the SSS.
