Chris will you be back in Manila before the 4th of April?

I'm around until then and could meet up with you and Melody on a weekend night with my kids for a chinwag?

Easter weekend could be difficult although I think the school hols start Thursday of that week.

Such a shame I didn't see this. We came back on Sunday 17th. What a gruelling trip that was btw!

Such fantastic weather. I hope you'll all allow me to show a little more of what was a truly memorable holiday. Last time we went was January 23 - or 2023 for some , and it was grey skies, wind and drizzle for the majority of it. But this time was wall-to-wall sunshine

Thanks for indulging me. I have loads more by the way, but I think perhaps this is about the limit before I become a bore.

No problem Chris, I could have wandered up Makati way on my own on a week night but honestly I've been nowhere since I got here, just cooking and cleaning for the last 6 weeks :)

I can imagine your trip would have been 10 or 12 hours, pretty hard work!

Especially that fewer of us travel over there compared to previous years!

The trip was forever. Four hours to Heathrow from Istanbul after a 13 hour Manila to Istanbul leg.

Speaking of legs, being somewhat out of shape, one of mine decided to go into full-on cramp, trying to cover the gate-to-gate distance in Istanbul in Olympic qualifying time. Why do they make these airports so unfriendly towards us sedentary sixty-somethings? We're the only ones that can afford to travel these days!

But you asked for it, and so, here are a few more videos.
