I think it is pretty much a certainty that Manny "The Mexinator" Pacquiao is going to school Marquez in Boxing! The bookies are giving Juan Manuel Marquez 125/1 if he wins in ANY round!:D

I am giving serious thought to spending £15 and sitting up till 4am to watch this, but I ust hate it when a fight lasts about 2 or so rounds... And I really think this won't go too far!

Personaly I don't really care about boxing at all.

I lost interest as soon as Ali retired.

I'm a keen boxing fan and often stay up till the early hours to watch manny 'pacman'.
This time, I've lost a little interest (as with some other times also) it's a money spinner and the result is not really in any question. IMHO

I'll watch the recording to see pacman win within 5 rounds (prediction)

One of these days though, he will take a fight too far (all for the greenback) and Phils will be stunned and crying.
Maybe that will be a Mayweather fixture. Don't get me wrong I pick manny everytime as the best fighter with the biggest heart and the best attitude. But I do feel he has too much on his plate (personal and public) plus........disagree if you will, Mayweather is technically streets ahead.
    Whoops!!
Anyways Pacman is the winner today/tomorrow

I'm with Dom, I'm not really a fan, my dad was a champion amateur boxer both in the army and just after the war in Scotland, I am a much more gentle soul :)

Ana loves Manny's fights though and we watched one together when she was last here in early 2010, I downloaded it for her.

    Controversial win, apparently.......

Lots of people disappointed with the decision....:erm:

maybe one of the reasons I totally lost interest is the fact that there is no showmanship anymore.

Ali, Frazier, Foreman and others of that generation, did put up a show before, during and after a bout, and the entertainment factor was there all the time.

Now, they come in, they knock each other six shades of blue :boxer:, collect the money and disappear.......:(

Manny was not convincing at all. Showed his lightning speed all too rarely today. His opponent won too many rounds for comfort. Maybe it's time for him to quit - before he gets hurt.
However, his career in politics is bound to lose him a lot (millions) of fans when he becomes yet another corrupt politician - it's bound to happen isn't it?

Oh, and PLEASE Manny - STOP SINGING!!!!! Your voice is even worse than mine (if that's humanly possible!!!!)

    Al.:england:

    :erm:

I must have blinked and missed all this charity work........:erm:

If wealthy people do anything charitable means only that they get better tax breaks........

They don't do it for anything else.........

Well I just had a long talk with Ana and to my great surprise she really felt that Manny lost that fight, she was very disappointed and says that a lot of her friends were very disappointed as well, not what I expected her to say at all :erm:

She made a point that I should try to get a copy of the fight so I could make up my own mind :)
