I used to live in Peel Green near Salford about 18 years ago and there was a bartender in a pub there who was a staunch City fan. As you can imagine, most of the drinkers were United fans due to their ground not being too far away and they used to take the mickey out of him something rotten. I moved on and then City was bought by the UAE owner. I would have loved to have seen the United fans cry into their beers when City started to win so much as there was a connection for me because of how Liverpool won so much more than Everton. The funny thing was that the City fan was so humble and let all the insults go without rising to the bait. Happy days for him and all the other sky blues. Send some of your good fortune over to the new Everton stadium so we have some joy too.
