Hi, just a quick question hopefully someone can enlighten me please. I just received my BRP renewed to married name but got confused that my maiden name is no longer included in the card. Is this how it should be? I'm worried that it would cause an issue when my passport shows given name-maiden name- surname but the BRP only shows Given & married name. Thanks a lot!

If you have changed the name on your BRP to your married name you MUST change the name on your current passport to match 'within a reasonable time'. I have no idea what is considered 'a reasonable time' but 'as soon as possible' would be advisable.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I had my passport renewed to married name first then BRP after. So my passport name shows Dina Gomez Walters but BRP is only Dina Walters. When I went to the UKVCAS, the lady asked me if I want to keep it and I said yes to match the passport.

Sorry, just realised I misunderstood your Post!

I can't see this being an issue, as the First & Last Names match - just make sure, on any future Visa applications, you list the variation where it says something like 'Any other names you have used...'.

Hi @qu33n26 , I had my BRP renewed to married name, my maiden name is no longer included in the card, last month when I had My ILR Application, No issue with it. However when I had my biometrics at the Service Centre, they ask me to sign an ammendment form , saying they will add my surname to match it to my passport. Now on my ILR BRP , My Given name - surname- married name, included in the card.
