Yes. We had the same. An agonising wait. But it was worth it.

From marriage, we waited approximately 3.5 months.

Its very easy to stay in regular contact with the loved ones in the Philippines, with Skype and the like, the time difference I find a little bit of a pain though.

I met my young lady over seven years ago and only now we are applying for a Fiancée visa so we can be together at last. I knew from the start of our relationship I would have to wait this long as it was her wish to put her three daughters through University which she has now done, so now is our time.

If you have to wait a little while before the missus comes over then so be it, it will not be forever.

    Welcome and good luck :welcome:

We used to leave skype on, even when sleeping.

Another good one I heard of, which wasn't my idea, is using the loved ones top as a pillow case. Never personally tried that one but I can see the love in it.

I think leaving Skype on is very romantic and comforting but I have had to mute the sound a few times and I'm sure she has had to do the same due to the amount of snoring going on. I think to myself how can such horrible noises be coming from such a beautiful girl

Ha ha. I did actually have one of her tops which i had in bed. Never went as far as making it a pillow case though.

How about this for those who watch their other halves sleeping, from afar.....
