The mark of a good actor/actress is that they are not acting - they are just being natural. Betty was 'your next door neighbour' - as Sean says - she deserves the epithet 'legend.' The entertainment world has lost a true great!! At Granada I had a coffee and cake with her in the canteen - at that time I was making demos with various bands I was playing with - she said to me ' Never let your head get too big Alan - because, if you do, it's a bigger target to squash!!' Then, when we had to leave to go to our respective rehearsals - I held out my hand to shake hers - but she refused that gesture and gave me a big hug and kiss!!! God bless and protect you Betty!!!
