Some of the bravest people on the planet are fighting many years of oppression knowing fully that their religious leaders have turned off the internet and cameras whilst they cart them away one by one and systemically torture them.
The risks that they are willing to take for their freedoms is highly commendable and an understatement by me. Wow. Just Wow!

Time to treat all Iranians in the UK like we did/are the Russians

I can't really agree with that sentiment, in the late 1970s I had a friend named Abdul and yes I know the meaning of that name, Abdul was the son of a high ranking member of the Iranian military and he studied at Paisley Tech, drank like a fish and was a genuinely good bloke, we talked about the political conflicts at the time as obviously the Iranian revolution was underway around then and into the 80s, he was not keen on returning to Iran and who could blame him.

Abdul looked like a clone of Omar Shariff, different country yes but physically very similar, anyway he was a decent man not steeped in the religious bigotry of his country, I lost contact with him at least 40 years ago but I hope he had a decent life he did have to return to Iran eventually.
