IPTV Expat Vision

I have been using the IPTV service of Expat Vision for a number of years and whilst there have been outages or prolonged freezing from time to time this has generally not lasted for longer than a few weeks.

Presently however I am having a protracted problem now going into months.

The TVSP has suggested that the issue was most likely with the ISP however previously the ISP was PLDT and currently it is Starlink yet the problem remains the same. Both ISP assured me there was no issue with their service and both are at fiber feeds of 200 Mbps and with very low latency.

At peak hours between 19.00 and 23.00 I get freezing - it is not constant but erratic between these times - it was not happening during off peak hours but now it has started to do so.

The server generally used is Singapore however in trying the other test channels from different international servers I get the same result. I am attaching a screenshot showing ping test results to the Singapore server which show numerous time out's which i think to be the problem however EV assures me it is not.

In speaking to Expat Vision they assure me that they have other customers in Davao where I am based ( and throughout the Phils ) and they are not reporting similar problems.

I would like to ask if any of the members have a current or previous contract with EV vision and if so what is or has been their experience with the service.

Furthermore any advise from any teckies on how to deal with this problem would be appreciated.

I dont use FB or any of its apps either - I can put you onto their chat service and you could request. 7day trial

What apps or platforms have you to run it on ?

Its not cheap at 24 quid a month for the Premium Service but unlike the other IPTV with literally thousands of channels I prefer their set up and was prepared to pay for it

Wow! Too expensive for me - looks a bit dodgy having read some of the reviews...

The reviews are quiet old - up until a year or ago I had direct access trough Skype and my problems were generally dealt with fairly professionally and quickly and so I continued with the service because other than infrequent outages I was happy with what i was getting - since then the set up has changed and one now has to deal with a supposed " support chat " - they are about as useful as ti*s on a bull - promise after promise after promise to get the tech guys to respond amount to diddly squat or worse - this has now gone on for months - for this reason alone they are no longer recommendable and I say that as an ex reseller

What system are you using and is it to your satisfaction ?

We have a mixture of things, too much for my mind:

Cignal TV - wife likes that - P600/mth

Netflix - kids like that - P250 - waste of money should cancel that

YouTube Premium - P149 - wife and kids like that - pretty good value as you get YouTube Music too

Football/Sports - I'm using BingSports/BingWatch now for but will get rid it in favor of Setanta Sports when my contract runs out as I can often download One Championship/UFC stuff shortly after the event from 1337 - think I paid P1000 for a year but I know they've increased their fees to about P5000/year now!!!

    EPL Football - Setanta

Download a lot from 1337 - whole tv series movies etc - Just started watching For All Mankind Series 1 which is looking good...

Very occasionally watch BBC IPlayer using a VPN/Smart DNS set up - approx. $2/month for the VPN

All of them work fine, Bingsports went down recently and they changed me to BingWatch and added 10 days to my subscription

If you prefer "normal tv" from UK or US I think probably Smart DNS with support for BBC maybe a decent option

Check their services by country here

    Wow - that's a lot connections.

I use Nord VPN and if connected to EV I get " Network Error " no matter what country I am in.

I also have You Tube Premium at student rates.

1337 and PB I have also used on occasion but more so nor due to problems with EV - previously it was not needed as EV was more than sufficient. Recently watched Yellowstone and The Tourist amongst many other good shows - try " The Great " you will either love it or hate it - laughed my ass off - not for kids

EV gave me the full Sky UK coverage ++++ - the full monty so to speak - its interface was straightforward - catch up for two weeks and a massive video library with up to date movies and series. No need for Netflix or anything else for that matter - can watch direct on tv , phone and computer - when its working that is - HA

I will persevere - am on Starlink's case at the moment.

Starlink contacted me but I thought they were very expensive so I'm still with Globe.

I just checked their prices again:

P28,000 equipment and set up and then P2,800/month... still quite pricey.
