These are clearly budget end laptops. Great for students or those on a tight budget.

I'm hoping for a new I Pod touch when they come out. Been using the nano's for years and was going to upgrade to the touch last week, then I read that there was a new touch coming out along with the phones and pads. So will wait and see if there is any major changes. Unfortunately we have to start paying taxes through Amazon next week here in California so will have to find another dealer

I am guessing that there will be four products announced soon by Apple. A new Ipod, Ipod mini or even another nano, Ipad mini and the Iphone 5...

Think these minis will start from 250pounds for the 8GB - judging from that leaked German inventory stock list on the internet.

Apple, An undeniable success story....

But despite this, I shall not buy any of their products, as I deem them to be overpriced and over hyped.

My thoughts exactly! I would have to have won the lottery before I consider buying a mac..

Makes me wonder how one can justify buying an iphone5 on PAYG for £599, when for the same price you can buy a good specced laptop and a fairly decent low to mid-range android phone. Maybe I'm a bit of a luddite, but the thought of owning one of these i-phones where your whole life is there and then getting it stolen or lost, its an awful lot of damage control.

Apple design their iphones for novices, Android are also for novices but there is more that you can do with them. Likewise a PC compared to a Mac is difficult due to the different nature of those machines. Power users would never dream of using a Mac!

:) SADo is wot I is. :vhappy:

I have a year 2000 iMac CTR "Bondai blue". Works and is used for storage.
    Also I have a MacBookPro 2009, Macbook 2008, MacBook (white) 2008, Classic iPod, 2 X iPod NANO, 2 X iPhone 3 and an iPad.
Had a MacBook Air bought for £799 from Apple and sold on eBay 3 years later for £470. :erm:

I have bought and given away 5 PC laptops, all WHICH Best Buy's, in the last 6 years because I thought I should try and learn PC Windows.
Looked at a Lenovo but the one I might have had, (recommended to me) , cost the same as a MAC, and was not to my liking.

So I will buy a new MacBookPro in HK in a couple of months.

NOW winning the LOTTERY...;) OK "That will do nicely, Sir".:like:

    Fire up a PC & start WORKING.!:erm:
Fire up a MAC & start to PLAY..

If I win the Lottery I might just buy the most powerful mac and then spend the same amount of cash on a PC that gets custom built and compare the two... Given the blatant overpricing of Apple products, I'm confident the PC would come equipped with enough power to outpace the mac at everything!

IF I were Godo I would build the most perfect and powerful Amazon blonde €Land woman and then compare that creation to my  Asawa.:erm:
While I am sure €Land woman could outperform in every way, in sheer POWER terms, I know I would chose my  :lovey: Tex....:wave::wave::vhappy: for her gentle loveliness.......

    "Comparison's ARE odious":eek: :rolleyes::lol:

Everything in our office at work is Mac. It takes some getting used to after being used to Windows, what with the Lions and Leopards and Safari etc.

My boss is a Mac / Apple freak.

Nice bits of kit, mind. I use one of these new iMacs.

Whatever Apple personal computer you use it is based on Unix, when Jobs came back to Apple he brought his pet project from his own independent company back to Apple (NextSTEP).

This was a proprietary variant of Unix with a very nice flashy user interface

What Apple really owns is the user interface that exists on top of a Unix Kernel that is probably not that much different from the linux or BSD Kernels, hard to say I am not expert in this area.

They are undeniably good at User Interface (UI) design but I hate the way they try to protect it, particularly the phone UI, rectangles with round corners are nothing special.
