Monty Python was a series of TV comedy shows, put on by the Monty Python team. They also made a few movies. Another was Life of Brian. A good one to watch.

Every time I hear someone talk with a Cockney accent, it reminds me of this. Hahahahahhaha...

Let me guess, you are one of those who say all Frenchmen are cowards/sons of cowards because they surrendered during WW2. lol.

And that Napoleon is a midget, even though he's of average height back in his times.

Nahhh you're reading too much into it. I just don't like the French, who does huh?

I'm just tongue-in-cheek really but it's almost a requirement if your English to dislike the French (even if you really don't mind them at all)

Go back to France or whatever gutter you came from!

Jason Stratham!!!!! Ha!! You avin a larff or what!

The real Guvvna was a famous Cockney street fighter named Lenny Mclean...Bless his cotton socks,he`s dead now!
Actually..I think Lenny did a cameo role in one of Strathams earlier films, lock stock and 2 smoking barrels.

I know another McLean who passed away some years ago. He was a street fighter too. They called him 'The Boxer.'

But that's a story for another time. lol.

No. Pretty neutral. I'm originally from Oxford.

    How we see the Aussies...

    Hahahahahha...

But you know what Aussies call the Brits? They call you guys Pommies or POHMS. It means 'Prisoners of Her Majesty's Service.' It can also mean the shortened word for pomegranate because of how you look when you're under the sun.

But really, Aussies especially the women are in love with the British accent (doesn't matter what specifically it is, though plus points for Posh British).

    Getting back on track......

I get terribly annoyed if phoning to arrange something with my bank, or broadband provider I get shunted to some call centre in India or South Africa. The main gripe is that my personal details are open to abuse from all and sundry. The second gripe is that I can hardly understand a word they say, and thirdly, even allowing one can make himself/herself understood, there is hardly ever a time when things have been resolved to one's satisfaction.

    Let's face it Tim,
To keep profits up, various companies have resorted to provide a lesser service, by outsourcing.

You're right Dom, this thread reflects that, the Indians are outsourcing the work to the Philippines now because its cheaper, plus they get the bonus of better English speaking call centre boys and girls, its a win win for them.

If the Indians are outsourcing to the Philippines, wouldn't that mean a middle man is involved so it would more expensive for the customer?
I would have thought the countries in the UK are contacting call centres in the Philippines directly? Maybe I'm wrong?
