    she got it !

    her annulment.

that part of the waiting is over--on to the next part.

first off--i need to know what paperwork is needed in the filis--before she applies for her visa.

    Super, worth the wait :)

I remember that my wife had to go to the Supreme Court after the annulment to get a specimen signature of the person who issued the certified true copy of the annulment, Regional Trial Court where she got the certified true copy. DFA for authentication (red ribbon document). NSO where she requested a copy of annotated Marriage Certificate and CEMAR (Registry of marriages; corresponds to CENOMAR if you have not been married before).
    Note that the above is not in any particular order, the order is below;
    1. NSO
    2. Regional Trial Court
    3. Supreme Court
    4. DFA

The above is probably over the top as I mentioned before but it worked :)

Good news indeed. Did it come out of the blue or were you half expecting it?

i knew it was at the decision stage--but no idea how long that could be dragged out. 3 weeks as it happens---i was expecting a lot longer--so---yes--it was a surprise.

Fantastic news, must be a huge relief. Can't help on the paperwork side I'm afraid as I'm so out of touch with it now.

ive got all the paperwork in place as sponsor--just had a letter emailed from my landlord confirming she can lawfully live here during the tenancy ( or do i need a paper letter ? )

the thing is--what does she need to do next--what documents does she need to satisfy UKVI that shes now single ? only theres no point me sending a DHL parcel of docs till she is ready to apply.

she took the IELTS test in december. she needs a TB test.

Cant see why your landlords email confirmation would not be accepted, the UKVI would have his email address if they wanted any confirmation. We submitted a few emails relating to our marriage, communication with the Registry Office and so on.

I think the visa application will almost be a pleasure for you after your long wait and the worry of whether the annulment would go through or not.

It would be really helpful to others if we could start a thread relating to the process of annulment in the Philippines but I think it is too complicated and complex to write any hard facts about, its just too much of a messy, expensive and time consuming process to make much sense of.
