Hi All, ILR application for wife and daughter submitted, biometrics yesterday and confirmed with Home Office for consideration. What frustrates me: Their current visas expire 04 May 24 but a decision as far away as 04 Oct 24. Bang goes our planned summer holiday then as... If you travel abroad (outside the Common Travel Area (CTA) – which includes the UK, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man) before a decision is made on your application for leave to remain or settlement, the Home Office will treat your application as withdrawn. Wife has literally today been offered a new job but...Changing jobs before your application is approved may be a breach of the immigration rules Given the expense of it all I find these restrictions a bit harsh. How long has a decision on ILR taken for those who now have it, is it really as long as 6 months?
Depends on the application and how straightforward it is, and is all the information they need supplied. I reckon you will be looking at between 8 and 12 weeks
@Mattecube, thanks, holiday planned in August, I really didn't know we couldn't travel outside of the UK.
You have about 13 weeks to start of August so hopefully be ok, give it about 6 weeks then use this number You can track the progress of your in-country immigration application by calling the UKVI contact centre on 0300 790 6268 and selecting option 2.
