    Good afternoon Admin

maybe worth letting people know if they work in the Healthcare sector they may get a partial refund on IHS
You do have to upload payslips for the relevant time period and IHS number and NI number
We have done 3x applications at the moment
I know it won’t be much but anything owed is good

We will be making our third 6-month refund application soon.

It will be interesting to see how long the government continue running this refund scheme...

Thanks for the info, I was aware of this but thought it only applied to NHS employees, but it seems any Healthcare worker can apply.

Here's the link to a (lengthy!) description of who should be eligible -

    https://www.gov.uk/apply-immigration-health-surcharge-refund/healthcare-setting

My wife works for NHS Property Services - described as "... a government-owned 'company'" - & has successfully claimed for 2 x 6-month rebates (£400/year, multiplied by 2.5 years Visa = £1000 IHS fee) so far (you can only claim retrospectively, 6 months at a time).

IHS fee has since increased to £624/year - £1560 for a 2.5 year Visa!

Hi guys, My wife recently applied for a refund due to being a Healthcare worker she applied for the 6 months from December 2020 through to May 2021, she included the pay slips January 2021 through till June 2021, bearing in mind she works 1 month in hand/arrears
Today she received an email saying this has been rejected because the payslips uploaded do not cover the 6-month period applied for, are all Government workers thick or what ? So far as we are concerned the payslips cover December to May.
She has been asked to "complete a new application and submit payslips that cover the entire 6-month period you’re claiming for" so basically we didnt/cant include a December pay slip because she didnt get paid in December she received the December pay in January, Thoughts ?.

My wife gets paid monthly, on the 29th (or last working day before, excluding weekends and BHs).
Her bank statements are dated around the 2nd/3rd of each month. So, to show the 6 months payments received, we had to (for example) send payslips Jan-Jun and bank statements Feb-Jul.

My wife reapplied this time from the period January 2021 to June 2021 and included payslips January 2021 to June 2021, again refused because "the payslips included did not cover the period your claiming for" I phoned the Helpline and they said she needs to include the July payslip so it seems they want 7 months payslips for 6 months work, Im still trying to get my head round this.:frust: Remember previously she applied for December 2020 throught to May 2021 and included payslips January 2021 to June 2021, refused because the payslips did not cover the period applied for.
You must complete a new application and submit payslips that cover the entire 6-month period you’re claiming for, I cant get my head around why they now want the July payslip, I know its splitting hairs but if they want the July payslip that puts her next application back a further month.
