we're applying for a fiance visa and wandering how much should my fiance have in his savings account. and does anyone know how do the immigration compute?
None if he is earning £18600 per year are over. If he is earning less than £18600 per year then yes, savings can be used as a means of making up the shortfall, but in a way that is best left for you to read about in the relevant UKVI document.
thanks @JohnAsh . his earnings is more than the required salary per annum. we are only worrying bout the savings account as we keep on pay pay for paper works etc.
Yes. Savings used to be a conditional requirement. But not these days since the rules changed, unless the applicant does not meet the £18600 threshold. However you do have to submit bank statements but thats more to prove your income, I gather.
I do wonder whether a savings threshold will be introduced by the UK Government in the future, another way of turning the screws on the application. At the moment though, no savings required for an application where the £18,600 financial requirement is met.
