i have around --32,000 songs on my external hard drive but now there 3 years old?i need many of this years songs -and although i have around a thousand --northern soul songs--i fell in love with another 500??
Whilst your recipe works and I don't want to sound prudish or moralistic, what you're suggesting is an illegal act and should perhaps not be promoted publicly. If Bangerboy needs music tracks then he can obtain them quite legally online from a number of sources including iTunes, Amazon and Spotify.
markham --i have spotify and a thing called --last fm --and i can play the music on there but how do i play them round the house ?? as its on computer and i added it on my phone to listen to but it did not transfer the songs across so i have 300 songs on computer-but about 12 on my phone -so amazing as it seems to you this 67 year old man has heard of your legal sources --i-tunes,amazon and spotify.it does not work round the house ? and my computer only has a short lead so cant carry it about ??--thans for your free advice -and i am sure --maharg thanks you as well --& of course the --musicians union thank you
Get an ipod or mp3 player, load them onto it, and put some speakers in different room. Then just plug it in whatever room you're in.

You can get a set of pc speakers pretty cheaply these days. We've got a proper stereo system in the front room, which we plug into to. We've then got pc speakers in the bedroom and the kitchen, so when we are there we plug into those via the jack plug. Also, the kids have got an ipod dock station in their room, and I've got speakers on my laptop. We shall have music wherever we go!
If you want to play spofify and digital music around the house simply without computers wires and other things, if you have some money spare then you should investigate the Sonos music system. http://www.sonos.com/en-gb/streaming-music?r=1 If you buy a sonos bridge and plug that into your internet connection (this provides the internet connection for the sonos network) you can then buy another sonos component like a sonos play 3. A sonos play 3 looks like a black speaker. Once it is all set up, you can plug the play 3 into any wall socket in your house and it will connect wirelessly to the bridge. It will play your mp3 collection if its on a shared drive someplace and it will play spotify and internet radio. You can move the play 3 about your house just by unplugging it from the power and carrying it into another room and plugging it in. It will still work. The sonos play 3 costs about 229 from amazon (if you're a member of amazon prime) and the sonos bridge is another 39 pounds. The system is controlled via an application on your smartphone (or your pc) and can be expanded so that you can put several of these components in your house, one in each room, and play different music on each or sync them together so you can play the same on all. Its very flexible, pretty easy to set up and works well. That's what I use. And I recommend it.
