Hi all new to here I was wandering if anyone had any advice my mother has a house in Manila and is eager to sell privately she resides in Scotland and is of elderly age now therefore flying is now a struggle.its a beautiful home in Caloocan I was just wandering what steps can b taken here in the UK to try to sell this home??. She is not really eager to get realters involved( I know it's prob the easiest step) but she says they charge too much. Would anyone know of any property listings or classified ads or newspapers in UK that you can advertise her property?? Many thanks

    Jeff.

Hello Jeff. My wife will soon be coming to the UK (depending on granting on visa) She wants to work for a Philippines-based realtor when she comes to the UK, so I am sure she would love to help!!

    Welcome Jeff!

That is a lovely part of the country that you are in, Scotland is where I come from and I am always delighted to see Filipinos in Scotland :) (your IP address tells me roughly where you are) .

It is late tonight, some of our other members have a much better idea of the local market in the Philippines, I hope they contribute here to help you!

My advice is this.. Design an advert with as much information and as many good quality pictures that you can muster..
Use all of the free Philippine and foreign ad/for sale web sites as possible..
OLX.com.ph is one of the best but there are many many more.. Just google "property for sale Philippines/Manila and you will find them..
Paid advertising is also very good.. Pay OLX a small fee and get your property ad and it`s picture on the top of their front page.. It will make a big difference in regards inquiries..
A bit more pricey but definitely worth a shot is a paid ad with http://www.islandsproperties.com/ .. I know people that use them and they have recommended them to me..
Here`s a quick Google search for more.. https://www.google.com.ph/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=best philippines real estate web site

Get as many free and paid ads published as you can.. Wish you luck!

BTW..We have never sold property in the R.P from abroad but we have purchased some whilst in the U.K.. Relevant paperwork was sent to us,signed and returned..
Not sure how the sale funds are safely transferred to your MIL`s account without one of you being there in person? If one of you can come over you will need power of attorney to act on her behalf I would think.
