I am interested what the other ladies say on this subject.. When my mahal comes over I wan to try and help her get over the inevitable homesickness she will feel.

Milder bouts of homesickness can be cured by taking the Mahal for an all you can eat chinese buffet.....;)

More serious cases are normally sorted out by some intensive retail therapy and an all you can eat chinese buffet...........

On the 20th of September it was actually 3 full years since Jet's arrival, and since she has been here, I hardly noticed her missing home at all.
Maybe the 30 odd orchids in our place do help give her a bit of homeliness... The mop and bucket do the rest...;)

I do have virtually get her to sit at the pc and start some kind of communication with her family at times, she is very reluctant. Not that they ask for money or stuff, because they don't.
So at every major anniversary, i do tend to spoil her slightly, maybe with a bracelet, a necklace and a few days ago I excelled myself by being scammed of a Radley handbag........... That will be the only dog ever, to darken my doorstep...

So I suggest that at the first hint of sadness, you nip it in the bud and take her out to somewhere posh,( pizza hut'll do....;)) and get her something just for her.

Funny enough we ate today for lunch, some leftover pancit bihon..... that was outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially as the pasayan was really tasty...
Another reason for being extra good, was that the Bihon is made in Talisay, where jet comes from..... Home flavours alright.......:like::like:

At the moment she is getting the banana cake out of the oven..............

Hot with ice cream on the side.......... Ah... Life...........:p

you can buy in tesco bihon (rice noodles) along the vegies area not like our bihon which we need to deep it in the water though coz you just have to add it to your sahog straight away and cook for few minutes :)

oh i'm sure chryss can help you with cooking.... you can add string beans, bit of carrots, and a bit of cabbage... haven't seen kinchay though but would check the local chinese superstore... Balot, you can buy pinoy products or something similar in chinese supermarkets.. i bet there would be one in your area...

Kuya, just show Rizza where Wu Sang is.. and she'll brighten up like I did when you showed me the store... I visited it today and bought dried fish, bow bawang, some mixes and pinoy crisps... hehehehehe....
