Yes hope so .could they refuse on anything else on the next visa if we send the same documents in + details of marriage and do we have to update all documents .november 2nd was last application
That was unfortunate. May I know what you really want to do? You said you applied for fiance visa? But that was marriage visitor visa stated on the refusal. Marriage visitor visa would allow you to be in the UK for 6 months and get married within that time. So you need to make arrangements and book a date for your wedding on the designated registar in the UK. One important thing to consider with marriage visitor visa is that your partner has to establish a strong ties to go back to the Philippines since that's only a 6 months visa. If you want to apply for fiance visa which is also for six months and again you need to get married within that time. So for the ECO to be satisfied that the wedding will commence in the UK you need to book a provisional date for your wedding in a designated registrar in the UK. Since you said you can't get the booking try and e-mail them and you can print that e-mail correspondence with the registrar, that's enough proof that you tried to book your wedding. Also, you can try a nearby registrar in other place, not just your local registrar, to book your wedding so maybe you can try that as well. Once you get married on fiance visa within 6 months then you will have to apply for FLR(m) from within the UK (your partner doesn't need to go back to the Philippines to apply) which will be valid for 2.5 years. So I hope that will help to clarify what you really want to apply for. And remember they vary with fees too. Lucky that marriage visitot visa is only cheap compared to fiance visa so that's not a big loss for you.
we applied for a fiance visa so not sure whats going on have we made the mistake or have they? my partner has said we applied for a visting visa?if so why are they bothered about the marriage details ?getting to confusing now for me
I think you've mistakenly input some information which led to giving you the form for marriage visitor visa. The refusal letter clearly stated that you tried to apply for a marriage visitor visa so there might be something wrong along the process. How much did you pay for the visa then?
It's a visit visa..Cost you £87. A fiancée visa..Which is referred to as settlement- marriage..Will cost you £1195... Initially.....
If you want to go for fiance visa then just reapply. This time with the right form, right payment, right documents.
From the refusal letter and the fee you paid, it seems your partner has applied for the marriage visitor visa, which means she leaves after her allowed 6 months of stay. Fiancée visa is marriage settlement visa, where she applies for further leave to remain after getting married and be issued a residence permit. Note that you have to submit your financial documents for this route. Hope you get it right the next time.
if it was a visiting visa why have they refused on the grounds of not enough imformation on getting married
The visit visa fee is £87. You may well have paid extra for priority service. But..Be advised if you intend for her to live here in the UK...The visa fees..Plus NHS surcharges.. Priority service( quicker decision)...Is going to total about £6000 over the next 5 years.
Ukvi. Are looking for any excuse to refuse visit visas. Such visit visas often lead to overstaying. There's another thread about just this outcome running at the moment. I
not sure what to do now just spoke to my partner if we change our visa app apparently they dont like this
