Hi,really glad i stumbled across this forum,im sure ill get some help,so many thanks in advance
I have a Filipino Girlfriend and our wish is to marry in her country, maybe settle down there, not sure yet,but im not sure if could sustain financially in the Philipines, being partially disabled i work part time so rely on government help,my question is,which im sure is the most asked question lol,if we marry in my girlfriends country am i entitled to then bring her and her two siblings to the UK,ive tried reading various write ups etc but very confusing,i have been led to beleive that the new immigration laws state that you have to be earning a said amount or above plus further additional on top for each sibling if you want them to return with you,she is happy to live in either country,i have had all the jibes about after a visa and money etc but it certainly isnt the case here so i would appreciate no negative replies regarding that thanks,we hope to marry in may on my next visit,so that is the question,as a Brittish citizen myself what would i have to do to be able to bring her home with me,i would appreciate any help at all, many thanks,Nigel

hi Nigel--welcome to the forum. no-one on here will criticise or poke fun at you as regards visa or money--most of us have gone through all that.

if you decide to try a settlement visa for your g/f and her kids--you will be the sponsor--and there are financial requirements you will have to meet--unless you are in receipt of specific disability-related benefits.

have a long read through this--and feel free to ask any questions.

Hi Nigel welcome to the forum. You don't worry about negative replies as you won't get any. You came to the right forum. They're all very helpful here.

If you are in receipt of any benefits with regards to your disability you will be excempt to meet the income threshold but you will meet the financial requirement through adequate maintenance. Have a read through the form I attached that will help you understand more about the financial requirement. ;)
