Last month was my 2nd time but the first was about 6 years ago. I've started speaking to someone else now and we've video called every day for hours and hours. I'm booked to go again for Christmas. I think I will run out of things to say by next week lol.

Oh well my fingers are crossed for you that this works out! It’s always interesting in the early stages - non stop chatting - but I’m sure you’ll find things to keep the communication open! I’m so jealous you’ll be there at Christmas. It’s my favourite time of year but even more so in the Philippines. It’s just stunning over there! We’re hoping to honeymoon in PH but that won’t be until our first anniversary next year!
I wish you all the best - keep us updated

She's a wee bit away from Fife :D

We seem to have a lot of Scots joining up in recent years, I was a lonely Scot here for many years until a lot of the recent signups, but sadly I'm not in Scotland anymore, stuck in England :D

my only connection with Scotland was my first wife. She was born in Birmingham--her parents were from Clydebank but moved to Brum after ww2.

Her mother made me laugh--she was always taking the mickey out of my Brummie accent...Living in Brum....
She would have been great company for Honest Dave...

i recall one phone call she made to--yellow pages ( ? )--asking about a shop selling herbal pills:

" gimme the number of the errabalist in Quin street "---YP operated asked where
" Quin street glesga ye fule "

You're brave, that's a hell of a move from a truly beautiful part of Scotland to a crowded loud incredibly expensive part of England:)

I'm in the northwest of england and probably stuck here for another 3 years at least.

My fiancé lived in London when he was a child so it holds a special place in his heart. Of course we know it might just end up being a dream considering how much things cost but we shall just see where life takes us! Do you hope to move elsewhere in the future?

Ah lovely ! My grandparents lived in Fife many years ago before moving to Moray. They lived in Balmullo. My granddad was in the RAF though so they lived all over the world. Stationed briefly in the Philippines before doing a stint in Singapore

Hi, I'm Dave also a fellow Scot and Like Robbie a Fly Fifer, I would suggest a move to London would not be a very good game plan for you, I have a Son lives there with his Family and have been down there many times, the last time not quite a year ago they had me down for my 70th Birthday, they had selected a few Restaurants to take me out to on my big day and asked me to choose one, to this I refused asking them to just buy a Take Away Indian to eat at home, suggesting at my age I'm liable to have a Heart attack when I see the prices on the Menu even though I was not paying for it, mind you I am much the same even in my own locality, perhaps it could be said I'm a miserable old grumpy Bar Steward, I do understand eating out it not such a big thing of great importance to most?

Housing costs; how a young couple could afford the get on to that first rung to owning a house there is beyond me, My sons Hoose a 3 bed 1 Bath semi is worth around £1.3M but it is not all that great and no better that the 3 bed 1 bath cooncil hoose he was brought up in, my own Hoose here in Fife is a 4 Bed 2 Bath modern Bungalow larger than my Sons and perhaps valued at a little over £250K, when they take me around the place and especially to places that cater for children, I look around at the families there and most of the parents look more like the Grandparents just like my son and his Wife him at 46 and her 50yrs with their children being 10 and an 8yr old. My Son is nae sae daft he married an Auld Wuuman that already owned two flats there in Kingston Upon Thames, 10yrs ago she was renting out one of these for £1400 and the Car parking space for the price of a flat rental up where I live, actually joking aside my DIL is very good looking and looks 10yrs younger than than her 50yrs, but like most English women she is the Boss 'O' the Hoose and wears the Troosers.

Living in Moray I am somewhat envious of you, as well as it being very beautiful with exceptionally considerate friendly people, I would imagine it to be quite a low crime area with around 80% of the population there being indigenous, perhaps 10% English white settlers with the rest being Foreign Feckers and very few of a dark complexion? London being the complete opposite to this in every way.

Incidentally I lived in Cebu for a couple of years and enjoyed my time there, but we moved to Negros Oriental when our Son was born for him to have the benefit of cleaner air, when I look back on our time there I now think of it as Cebu being like London and Valencia Neg Or being like Moray.

After University I rented a room in a house share - she was one of the house mates who had moved in whilst working for a hospital nearby. Broke the cardinal rule to never date flat mates.. ! (Well worked for me!)

Since that post, you've mentioned Morayshire! I have family that live up there - my Wife & I go pretty often. We've toyed the idea of moving there a few times, but she does enjoy the Filipino Community shes grown to love here. But I have seen there has been some small Barrio Fiestas around up there! :D
