    how many times should you meet before thinking of applying for visa,I was told by immigration advisor at least twice.

    you must have met--face to face--once.

    Officially you only need to meet in person once, but from a personally point of view I would not dream of bringing a young lady to the UK unless I had met her half a dozen times or so.

    More time you spend with your prospective spouse the more chance you have of your relationship working out.

    Talking to a young lady on Skype everyday is a million miles away from actually living together.

    I agree with you guys need to meet a few times,otherwise could all end in heart ache.

    I've met my fiance twice spending 2 weeks, then three weeks together 24 hours. I speak to her daily on Skype and if we can't for any reason then it's an email or text.
    I agree with Maharg you know when it's right. personally I wouldn't hesitate. My circumstances are different we want to get married but sadly have to wait foer an annulment so could be waiting a while but we will continue as we are I go again now in April for 3 weeks then again in September for another 2.

    Please give us a run down on the annulment (cost, time, etc) once you've secured it, will be helpful to other members in the same boat here on the forum :)
