    Hi all

I'm new on here, but active on other Filipino forums.
Currently working and living in Dubai with Alma my Filipino asawa.
We are building a house in Davao which will be ready by the end of this year, then the plan is to move there full time next year.
Looking forward to lots of interesting interactions with you.

    Thanks,
    David

Thank you. Yes we really like Davao and so looking forward to returning in December and starting to furnish our new home. Hoping to take advantage of the special offers on everything during the "er" period lol.

Welcome to the forum. You'll have to excuse @Timmers. Perhaps his great age and failing eyesight blurred your profile picture for him. Or else, it was just a turn of phrase. I suspect the latter. ;)

Many a time and oft! Her parents' farm is just in Ramon Magsaysay, barangay Esperanza, but the nearest town of any importance is Molave, population about fifty thousand, which is over the border in Zamboanga del Norte. Rather unusually, I have an English brother in law, married to my wife's eldest sister, who took his elderly mother over to see the other half of the family, last month, and they have just got back here. She had a lovely time!

Having said that, I must say the family are pretty careful with us. I'm quite at ease travelling by bus to Pagadian, Ozamiz or Dipolog, but I don't think I would care to travel through the ARMM to Davao. That seems like !"adventure tourism", to me! Maybe I worry too much.

Exactly, turn of phrase, even when I was young I used the phrase :)

That part is no longer in Davao as Sta. Cruz is not in Davao anymore but a separate province (I think). I live in Davao City in Catalunan Grande.
